Chicago Bulls center Robin Lopez is the most likely player in the roster to be moved before the Feb. 7 trade deadline, as the Bulls moved on from three-and-D sniper Justin Holiday, sending him to the Memphis Grizzlies earlier in the year.

Yet the 7-footer, who has been linked to the Golden State Warriors in the past, won't sweat the incessant rumors surrounding him, only worrying about what he can control.

“I’m looking to play basketball,’’ Lopez said last week, according to Joe Cowley of The Chicago Sun Times. “That’s what I’m here to do, that’s what I enjoy doing. I like playing with these guys, so whatever happens I’m going to go out there and work for my teammates.’’

Robin Lopez said that he has spoken to management, but the veteran won't dwell on what would happen down the line.

“Whenever I see them they say, ‘Keep working, Rolo, keep at it,’ ‘’ Lopez said. “We’ve got a positive relationship going there.’’

The Bulls reportedly won't consider a buyout of Lopez' contract, but rather would look to trade him, looking to get at least a second-rounder in return.

The Warriors looked at Lopez as an insurance policy on the wake of DeMarcus Cousins' return from a near-year-long Achilles tear, after losing former starter Damian Jones for the rest of the season.

Lopez is a quality veteran who can rebound and block shots, while sprinkling a fair share of offense every now and again. His play during the next three weeks will ultimately dictate his immediate value on the trade market, maybe enticing more teams to get in line for his services.
