The NBA draft is a time when young men are able to realize their dream of making it to the NBA, but it also serves as a chance for them to show off their fashion sense. On Thursday, Wendell Carter, the newest member of the Chicago Bulls, probably stole the show.

DeAndre Ayton showed off some bling on his wrists, and Trae Young went with the shorts and suit coat look, but the man who stole the show was Wendell Carter Jr, who wore an outfit inspired by The Black Panther Movie. Carter wasn't the only one to give a nod to the movie, his mother and father also wore outfits inspired by the film. Carter was asked about the outfit, and he said he got the inspiration from a commercial about the film. According to Yahoo! Sports:

“I saw a ‘Black Panther’ commercial, saw he had something wrapped around the top of his suit, so I was like, ‘Might as well try it out,’” Carter told NBA TV.

Carter was joined by his father, Wendell Carter Sr., and his mother, Kylia Carter, at the draft, with both parents also wearing clothes bearing a tiger. Kylia’s outfits comes by Gucci, according to Rivals’ Krysten Peek. Carter Jr.’s suit is Gucci as well, judging from the 7-footer’s belt.

Carter Jr. was selected by the Chicago Bulls with the seventh pick, and he should compete right away for the starting role with the team.

He is a big man who can seem to do it all on both sides of the ball, and although he isn't a super athlete, he still should be very good in this league for a long time.
