Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine is doubtful to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
LaVine, who missed the Bulls' game on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons, is still dealing with a patellar tendon strain in his knee.

It looks like there hasn't been any determination whether to shut LaVine done for the season yet. The Bulls are 19-49 on the season, 13th place in the Eastern Conference standings.

LaVine is averaging 23.8 points, 4.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game this season while shooting 46.8 percent from the field, 36.8 percent from beyond the arc and 83.3 percent from the free-throw line. The club's leading scorer has taken the next step in his development this season and the front office in Chicago has to be thrilled about that.
There was a lot of uncertainty when LaVine signed a four-year, $78 million deal with the Bulls last summer. There were some who thought it was too much money to give to a player who wasn't good on defense and had a injury history.
LaVine has proved those critics wrong with his stellar play this season. He is one of the core players on the team whom the franchise needs to build around.
