Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine has been making his case for an All-Star appearance with his recent stellar play. Along with his all-around numbers, LaVine has also covered the most miles in the NBA after Chicago's first 12 games.

HoopsHype's Alex Kennedy tweeted out this interesting fact on LaVine's game early this season.

Zach LaVine leads the NBA in total miles covered so far this season. LaVine has run 32.4 miles through 12 games. The runner-up is Justin Holiday (31.6 miles), third-place is Jrue Holiday (28.8 miles), fourth is Luka Doncic (28.6 miles) and fifth is Buddy Hield (28.5 miles).

The miles per game average is another important feature of today's game analytics. It lets coaches and trainers track how many miles their players run each game, giving them valuable information regarding individual fatigue level and endurance.

This is a welcome sight for Bulls fans as it validates that LaVine is completely healthy this season. The two-time Slam Dunk champion just played 24 games last season.

As for his case for his first All-Star selection, LaVine is definitely making a strong one. The 23-year old budding star is posting impressive numbers of 27.4 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.8 assists. LaVine is also shooting 46% fro the field, a career-high.

Even so, the Bulls are off to a slow start with a 3-9 win-loss card. One could argue that LaVine is not getting much help from his teammates as he is the only Bull to crack 20 points in scoring average. Small forward Jabari Parker comes second with 14.8 points per game.

LaVine and the Bulls will try to get their fourth win against the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight.
