Heading into this upcoming offseason, there is still much to question regarding Dwyane Wade‘s future with the Chicago Bulls.

Wade possesses a player option worth $23.8 million that he has yet to voice any clarity about whether or not he will pick it up. However, Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that there is a sense among Bulls players that he will return.

“He definitely sounds like a guy that’s coming back,’’ one Bulls player told the Sun-Times on Monday. “I just feel like when you’re talking about recruiting [potential free agents] and what you hope your [teammates] are working on [this summer], you’re in.’’

There is much to be said about Wade speaking in the terms of recruiting players over to the Bulls, but that doesn't necessarily mean that can be penciled in to return to the team next season. However, it does indicate that it is a realistic possibility for him.

In just over two weeks, Wade should likely have several options available to him as he's still a productive player at age 35. He could entertain a return back to the Miami Heat, where there is some disappointment from team president Pat Riley toward how things were handled and transpired.

Along those lines, another promising team could also enter the picture for Wade's services. There are a few scenarios that could come to fruition that at least make it hard to imagine that he won't test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

Wade played in 60 games in the regular season averaging 18.3 points on a career-low 29.9 minutes per game. Ultimately, there is still plenty that could change in the coming weeks with a major decision looming for the All-Star guard.
