Team USA basketball players had fun in Rio this summer.
So much fun, that one night a few teammates “accidentally” found their way into a brothel.
Chicago Bulls guard Jimmy Butler, who was a member of the team, was recently asked about this incident again while on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd” on Tuesday.
Article Continues BelowCowherd: “… you got the brothel story, you got the Ryan Lochte, you got the Hope Solo. All this stuff, but when you’re living over there – can we confirm the brothel story? I’m not bothered at all by it.”
Butler: “You’re not bothered by it?”
Cowherd: “I lived in Nevada. If guys go to a brothel, what do I care?”
Butler: “I mean, it was a mistake. Everybody left, and went and got a drink at a real bar, which is completely fine with me. And that’s all it was.”
Leahy: “You weren’t there right?”
Butler: “Who me!? Pshh, nowhere to be seen. Not me.”
Clearly a light-hearted exchange between Butler and Cowherd and maybe it was just a simple mistake by Butler and his teammates.
At the end of the day, it feels like more of a funny story about Team USA in Rio than anything else. The team was truly having a great time out there and on one of those crazy nights, they just happened to show up at a brothel. No big deal, right?
