Texas A&M forward Robert Williams is set to begin workouts with several NBA teams, including the Chicago Bulls, Charlotte Hornets, and New York Knicks, according to a report from ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. With the 2018 Draft just days away (Thursday, June 21st), most experts and analysts are projecting Williams to be taken somewhere in the 7-13 range of the first round.

Williams, now 20 years of age, is a solid player with a strong swat hand. He was a four-star recruit coming out of North Caddo High School in Vivian, Louisiana, and in fact, he was ranked 50th overall in ESPN’s Top 100 for the class of 2016. The 6-foot-9 forward won the SEC Defensive Player of the Year award in 2017 and 2nd Team All-SEC honors as a freshman in 2016-17 (11.9 points and a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game as a freshman).

In his 30 appearances with the Aggies during their 2017-18 season, Williams racked up averages of 10.4 points on 63.2 percent shooting from the field, 9.2 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 2.6 blocks, and just under one steal (0.8) in 25.6 minutes per game.

According to K.C. Johnson of The Chicago Tribune, Williams is scheduled to work out with the Bulls this Thursday (June 7th). For the record, the Bulls are currently holding the No. 7 and No. 22 picks in the first round. Johnson notes that the Bulls will likely keep Williams' workout on the private side, which means he won't be available to the media.

The Knicks (ninth pick in the first round) and Hornets (11th pick) are next in line for a visit with Williams, according to Wojnarowski.

Which team Williams will be heading to is still up for speculation, but there is no doubt about his talent. As we wait for the Draft, have a go at some of his highlights from his last season with A&M.
