Goran Dragic ultimately signed with the Brooklyn Nets last season after reaching a buyout agreement with the San Antonio Spurs. But, it wasn't all sunshine and rainbows playing alongside star duo Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving.
Dragic recently spoke to a Slovenian outlet and got brutally honest on how difficult it was at times trying to co-exist on a Nets roster headlined by the two future Hall of Famers.
Dragić says he already wanted to sign with Chicago last year, but things went different & he signed with the Nets: “It is what it is”.

That's unfortunate but not hard to believe. Goran Dragic played 16 games for Brooklyn, averaging 7.3 points, 4.8 assists, and 3.2 rebounds per night. He's never had a huge role in the NBA and typically serves as a bench piece and on a roster where KD and Kyrie are the focal points, touches were relatively limited.
Now, the Nets could be losing both as they continue to try and find trade packages for their disgruntled superstars. The asking price for Durant remains steep though, which could even result in him staying put into training and camp and perhaps beyond. As for Irving, well, the Lakers are about the only team interested but Brooklyn seems to be focusing on moving KD first.
Goran Dragic meanwhile ended up signing with the Bulls in free agency, joining a promising core consisting of DeMar DeRozan, Zach LaVine, and Lonzo Ball. He'll have an opportunity to be an important second unit player for Chicago without the distractions of individual performances as Dragic said.
