The University of North Carolina owns one of the most successful college basketball programs in the nation. The Tar Heels have won five NCAA titles and have produced a lot of players who enjoyed stellar careers in the NBA.
The most notable names that played for UNC are James Worthy, Bobby Jones, Vince Carter, and the team's current head coach, Roy Williams.
But the most famous athlete to ever play in Chapel Hill is Michael Jordan. The six-time NBA champion and owner of the Charlotte Hornets was recently given a special wall in the school's athletic facility, also known as the Coach Bill Guthridge Locker Room complex. And what better way to pay homage to the best basketball player ever than to showcase all 31 Air Jordan sneakers.

For the new breed of Tar Heel athletes, seeing the wall should serve as a reminder that Michael Jordan once wore the same jersey as them, and should motivate them to give their all and try to win a championship for the school, just like what their famous alumnus did in 1982.
