Frustration is building up for the L.A. Clippers, who are enduring what could be a very long season mainly due to injuries to some of their key players. Clippers fans are understandably disappointed in how things are going for their team, but just in case all the injuries and the losing are not enough to infuriate them, Austin Rivers gave them another reason to feel dejected – at least to one fan, who was in attendance during the Clippers’ lopsided 126-107 loss to the Utah Jazz at home Thursday.
With just a little over three minutes left in the game and the game out of hand, Austin Rivers fouled Utah rookie guard Donovan Mitchell and Clippers head coach Doc Rivers emptied the bench. On his way to the bench, however, Rivers caught a fan sitting courtside smack-talking the team on his way to the bench, and had some choice words for him as he made his way to the Clippers' bench to end his night.
Rivers later explained what really happened between the fan and him at the end of the game, realized that what he did was unbecoming of an NBA player, and apologized both to the fan and reporters. He also took to Twitter to apologize to the fan.

Rivers will be one of the two, go-to options on the Clippers now that Blake Griffin is out along with Patrick Beverley, Danilo Gallinari, and Milos Teodosic.
