Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic has heard Jason Kidd's Picasso comments about him, and he understands what his new coach wants him to be.

During Monday's Media Day, Kidd gave the ultimate praise to Doncic by calling him a young Pablo Picasso. However, it came with a little “but” as the new Mavs coach highlighted how the young and emerging artist must learn how to use all the brushes and paints he has.

“I don’t know if anybody ever told Picasso that he had to use all the paints, but I just want to remind him that he can rely on his teammates, that his teammates will be there to help him,” Kidd said of Doncic, per Tim MacMahon of ESPN.

Luka Doncic, in response, admitted that he has a lot to work on his game, including being able to use his teammates and unleash their full potential with his already elite playmaking.

“There’s a lot of things that I need to improve on — on the court, off the court. This is one of them. Obviously, he’s right,” the Mavs' star guard said.

The Mavs added a couple of shooters around Luka in Reggie Bullock and Sterling Brown, giving the Slovenian sensation a couple more brushes to make a masterpiece. However, what everyone is certainly hoping for is Doncic utilizing his teammate Kristaps Porzingis even more.

KP was brought in to be that second star alongside Doncic, and if the 22-year-old can maximize the Unicorn's talents, Dallas might very end up with that golden grand sculpture called the Larry O'Brien trophy.
