Dallas Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic has already produced several highlight-reel moments in Friday night's matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Mavs' wonderboy started his night by doing the unthinkable, and that was blocking LeBron James twice on one possession.

And now, the 6-foot-7 wing from Slovenia is back at it again by helping out his teammates in another way. Doncic found teammate Dennis Smith Jr. for a nice alley-oop in the second quarter, which helped put the Mavs out in front by seven.

Despite having a cold shooting night from the floor (1-of-10 as of this writing), Luka Doncic is finding ways to make other plays for the Mavs.

Dallas is trying to capture its fourth straight victory in hopes of moving closer to Memphis (13-9) at the top of the Southeast Division standings.

Luka Doncic is off to a great start in his first season in the NBA, posting 19.1 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game in 19 contests thus far. Meanwhile, Smith is fourth on the team in scoring with 13.9 points while averaging 3.9 assists per game.

The Mavs' future is certainly looking bright with these two electrifying young stars at the helm. Dirk Nowitzki will be leaving the franchise he helped put on the map at the hands of capable players.
