The Denver Nuggets will be bombarded with questions, as they have been throughout the season. The majority of their concerns come from the fact that two of their top three players have been out for virtually the whole season.

Obviously, a team that is missing two of its best three players is unlikely to have much success. Despite many players being sidelined, the Nuggets have managed to remain afloat this season, finishing 22-20 and holding the Western Conference's sixth seed. It is great that they have managed to stay in the postseason hunt, and that will undoubtedly help them when and if they do return Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. Some role players, such as Monte Morris, Aaron Gordon, and Facundo Campazzo, have really stepped up this season.

There are a lot of doubts about this Nuggets team because of all their injuries. Let's take a look at the Nuggets' three most pressing questions heading into the season.

Nuggets Question 2022

3. Are Michael Porter Jr and Jamal Murray going to be available for the playoffs?

Each of them appears to be on the verge of returning for the playoffs, although there have been conflicting reports on both of them. This will be the most important question for the Nuggets since they will have no chance of winning an NBA title unless they have both of these players. Nikola Jokic is one of the best players in the NBA, but without two of these other stars on the floor, the Nuggets' team is simply not good enough.

Denver must also recognize that if both of these players return sooner than expected, it may end up hurting their team more than helping it. Because of how great the big three are, they may still win an NBA championship if they return at 90% instead of 100%, but it would also put them at risk of getting hurt again.

They must consider that if they are not in a position to win a title this season, those players must be sidelined until they have fully recovered.

2. Are any players going to be moved who have stepped up in Murray and Porter’s absence?

There have been a few players that have really stepped up for this Nuggets team, with Monte Morris being the most notable. Morris has been a key player for the Nuggets this season, as he is averaging 12.5 points and four assists per game. He has done this while shooting 38% from three-point range on about five attempts per game and nearly 50% from the field while shooting 47%. He has been a big part of the Nuggets' ability to stay in the Western Conference playoff hunt, so trading him would be a tough decision.

They must consider the fact that once they are healthy, they will not have as many minutes to offer him as they have now. He can still be a backup guard, but they may opt to let go of him in the hopes of getting a better return from a contending team searching for a backup guard who can come in and make an immediate impact with their bench unit.

This will be one of the most difficult decisions the Nuggets will have to make, but it is one that they must make, and there really is no right or wrong answer. It makes sense if they can trade him for someone who can help them even more than a backup guard like Morris can. If they chose to keep him and use him as a backup guard, it would be just as logical as if they decided to trade him.

1. Can this team win a championship when healthy?

It is difficult to respond to this question because this team has not been entirely healthy in a long time. What they showed a year ago is that when all three of their players are healthy, they are a team that will be difficult to beat in the Western Conference. They have perhaps the best player in the NBA, as well as two more players who are elite in their own way. There is no reason to believe this team cannot win a title if they are healthy.

The Nuggets have a fantastic opportunity of winning a championship if everyone on the team is healthy, and that's something they will need to remember. They cannot rush any of their players back since this is a team that has a lot of potential in the NBA over the next several years.
