Just over one year to the day, the Denver Nuggets managed to tie their own record for 3-pointers made in a game during Thursday night's 134-123 shootout victory over the Milwaukee Bucks. According to a tweet last night from ESPN Stats & Info, the Nuggets' two separate outbursts of 24 long distance shots made in a game are tied for second-most in NBA history.

Last season against the Golden State Warriors, the Nuggets beat the Splash Brothers at their own game en route to a 132-110 victory at Pepsi Center.

The three's just kept falling for Denver on Thursday night in Milwaukee, as the team went an eye-opening 24-of-40 (60 percent) from behind the arc. Nuggets guards Jamal Murray and Gary Harris both went 5-of-7 from three-point range, while Will Barton went 4-of-7 from deep.

Forward Wilson Chandler and star center Nikola Jokic, who became just the second player in the last 20 years to record a triple-double before halftime, both made three shots from downtown against the Bucks.

According to an article written by Andrew Gruman of The Associated Press, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone couldn't help but be quite impressed with his squad's stellar shooting night.

“Each guy kind of had their own little stretch,” coach Malone said after the game. “Jamal (Murry) got going in the third quarter, and we rode him and ran some plays for him. Gary Harris had it going, and Nikola shot it well.”

On the evening, Jokic finished with 30 points on 11-of-14 shooting from the field, a game-high 17 assists, 15 rebounds, and two blocked shots.

This was a fantastic win for the Nuggets heading into the All-Star break, as Denver currently sits as the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference with a 32-26 record.
