Nikola Jokic received high praises from his teammates after he led the Denver Nuggets to a Game 6 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
Nuggets rookie Michael Porter Jr. said Jokic played like the best player in the world.

Jamal Murray elaborated on that statement, noting that Nikola Jokic scored in a variety of ways while still finding ways to get his teammates involved:
“He’s hitting step backs, fading away, off one leg, with a hand in his face, consecutive times.,” Murray said, via Ben Golliver of the Washington Post. “I’d say he’s the best player in the world… It was a team effort but Jokic definitely carried us.”
Jokic was indeed magnificent, finishing with 34 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists.
“The Joker” also played a huge role in helping the Nuggets pull away from the Clippers in the final period after Denver erased a 19-point deficit in the third quarter. Jokic scored 11 points in the fourth, nailing a trio of 3-pointers and making the aforementioned one-legged fadeaway over Montrezl Harrell.

While Murray was the star of the show in Denver's first-round series against the Utah Jazz, it has been Jokic who has taken over the lead role against Los Angeles.
The 25-year-old came into Sunday averaging 24.2 points, 11.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.2 blocks for the series. But his most important contributions have come from the perimeter.
Jokic is 15-for-34 from beyond the arc in the second-round showdown after making four of his six attempts on Sunday. He has also been a distributor from the point and shown a willingness to get out in transition.
There is just about nothing Jokic cannot do on a basketball court. All his skills were on full display in Game 6.
Now, the Nuggets will be hoping the Serbian star can replicate the same performance in Game 7 on Tuesday.
