The Denver Nuggets escaped with a 116-112 road victory against the Portland Trail Blazers in Game 4 of the Western Conference semifinals, and Jamal Murray stole the show once again.

Murray finished with 34 points on an efficient 10-20 shooting, five rebounds, and four assists. After the game, Nuggets head coach Michael Malone told reporters that he's excited for the 22-year-old's future, as well the team's direction moving forward.

Murray has been sensational throughout the playoffs, and he's one of the main reasons why the Nuggets survived the San Antonio Spurs in the first round. Now, he's a big part of them tying up the series with the Blazers at two games apiece.

In four games against the Blazers, Murray is averaging 26.5 points, 3.8 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He is also shooting at an efficient 44.7 percent clip.

The Nuggets are one of the youngest teams in the league, and for them to be able to snatch the second best record in the West during the regular season speaks volumes about their talent as a team. With Murray leading the way, there is no doubt that Denver will be one of the best teams in the league for many years to come.

And Malone knows that: “We have a chance to be a really good team for many, many years, and Jamal is going to be a big part of that.”
