Nikola Jokic is making his case as the best center in the NBA this season and there's a good chance he makes the All-Star team for the third time in his career with the Denver Nuggets.

While the NBA is discussing options on the All-Star Game amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Jokic shared why he hopes there is an All-Star game this year, via the Denver Post's Mike Singer.

When Jokic came into the NBA with the Nuggets in 2015-16, his weight was a concern for his long-term availability. However, in the past two seasons, Jokic has gotten himself in remarkable shape, allowing him to play a career-high 35.7 minutes per game in Denver's first 19 games this season.

With Jokic being in the best shape of his career, he doesn't believe he needs a break during the All-Star Weekend. But there's a chance that the league doesn't conduct an All-Star Weekend due to the concerns surrounding COVID-19.

There's no doubt that Jokic is primed to make the All-Star team as he's currently recording 25.7 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 8.7 assists per game, leading the Nuggets in all of those categories. The NBA has recently begun holding talks on possible options to still hold the All-Star festivities this season.

Jokic, who is a native of Serbia, loves to play in the All-Star Game to represent his country on a big stage. And if the NBA decides to allow players to choose whether they want to play this year or not, Jokic seems highly interested in participating in the game.
