Considering how hyped up the Thunder and the Timberwolves were at the start of the season following their big summer moves, it is as impressive to see the Nuggets leading them all with an 8-5 record.

Jokic, of course, has been a big reason for the Nuggets’ success. The Serbian star is averaging 17.2 points, 12 rebounds, and 4.8 assists thus far this season, and is just a couple of games removed from scoring a career-high 41 points against the Brooklyn Nets.

As Paul Millsap continues to learn the offense and Jamal Murray develops more consistency, the Nuggets figure to have a strong chance of staying on top of their division rivals, even though Jokic doesn’t bother to know who they are.
