For Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets, a team does not to be loaded with a ton of stars to win a championship.
As reported by Martin Rogers of USA Today, Jokic was asked what his team's goal is for this season. Without hesitation, Jokic said that the Nuggets are aiming for the title — something that critics and analysts are not expecting from the team.
To defend his claims, Jokic looked back at recent history — particularly at Dirk Nowitzki's Dallas Mavericks in 2011. To recall, they beat the powerhouse Miami Heat led by LeBon James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh to win the title.

Nikola Jokic, who was named the Western Conference Player of the Week in the league's opening week, added that the Nuggets have the tools to compete for the championship.
“I think we have the players to do that, we have a coach to do that. We are ready, we are growing, we are getting better and better in every (way). So why not?”
Indeed, Jokic is not only rising as one of the NBA's top big men, but he also has a rather unique, if not daring, opinion, too. In an era where superteams prevail, Jokic believes that his humble team is capable of winning a ring.
