Nikola Jokic is out for blood this season. The Denver Nuggets star seemingly isn't satisfied with winning just one MVP, as he's been hell-bent on carrying his team. His monstrous performances have been the saving grace of Mile High Basketball this season.
Against a surging Pelicans team, the Nuggets star had to bring his A-game again. And boy did he bring it. If there was any doubt about Nikola Jokic's MVP case, his Wilt Chamberlain-esque triple double should change your mind. (via StatMuse)

Scoring 46 points on above 70% shooting is ridiculously hard. Chamberlain could do it because he lived in the paint, but for Jokic, it's a bit harder. Still, despite the odds working against him, the Nuggets star balled out in what can only be described as a signature performance out of him. It's these types of games that turn great players into legendary players.
The Nuggets needed every single bit of Jokic's scoring, too. The Pelicans have sneakily become one of the better teams in the league recently. With their defense in shambles, Jokic and co. had to match the blistering New Orleans offense blow by blow. Jokic single-handedly did that, scoring 30 points in the fourth quarter and overtime periods.
Jokic has been playing at an absurd level recently. With his insane scoring and playmaking ability, he's a nightmare to guard for any team. The Nuggets are hoping they can get back their key players *such as Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr.) in time for a deep postseason run this year
