Nikola Jokic continues to cement his case on being one of the best big men to ever play in the NBA. He had another historic performance on Sunday as he led the Denver Nuggets to an impressive come-from-behind win against the Orlando Magic, 119-109.
Jokic was deep in his bag and dropped 16 assists to go along with 17 points and nine rebounds. This, according to ESPN Statistics & Information, was The Joker's 81st game with 10 or more assists, putting him past the legendary Wilt Chamberlain for the most by a center in NBA history. Add to that, Jokic is now tied for the second-most assists in any half this season and tied for the most in a half in his career after tallying 12 of his 16 assists after the halftime break.

Jokic has been absolutely stellar for the Nuggets all season. The three-time All-Star has posted career-high numbers across the board, averaging 26.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 8.4 assists per game prior to their outing against the Magic. By now, it's no wonder why he is among the leading MVP candidates.
For perspective, the late Chamberlain finished his 15-year NBA career with mind-blowing norms of 30.1 points, 22.9 rebounds, and 4.4 assists. He led the league in assists in the 1967-68 season with 8.6 a game after he got criticized for being a ball hog.
Nikola Jokic's impressive performance on Sunday helped the Nuggets overcome an 18-point deficit early in the game as the Magic surged quickly. But the Nuggets came prepared in the second half and ran past the visitors to extend their winning streak to five games. They continue to climb up the Western Conference where they currently sit at the fourth spot with a 31-18 record.
