Denver Nuggets superstar Nikola Jokic once again showed why he's the greatest passing big man to ever grace the NBA floor on Saturday night. This time, he literally made it happen on the floor and nonchalantly delivered a perfect pass to Jamal Murray while laying on the hardwood.

That's insane awareness from the Serbian big man. Nikola Jokic has had plenty of spectacular passes this 2020-21 season, during which he is playing at an MVP level. This play should easily make his highlight reel at the end of the season.
Article Continues BelowUnfortunately for Jokic, this slick feed went to waste after the Nuggets lost to the Dallas Mavericks at home, 116-103, breaking their five-game winning streak. The three-time All-Star had his usual night and almost dropped a triple-double with 26 points, nine rebounds and 12 assists. But his efforts were not enough to stop Luka Doncic and the Mavs from securing their 11th win in the past 14 games.
With the loss, Denver dropped to sixth in the Western Conference standings, which at least prevents them from going into the play-in tournament for the playoffs. However, for Jokic to get legitimate consideration for MVP, the Nuggets need to rise further in the standings.
That's certainly easier said than the done given the number of heavyweights in the West. Jokic has certainly done his job this season, establishing career-bests in points (27.1), rebounds (11.0), and assists (8.5), while connecting on nearly 57 percent of his shots.
Nonetheless, if Denver wants to take the next step from their Western Conference Finals appearance from a season ago, they will need the likes of Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. to help out The Joker.
