Denver Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray may have been struggling as of late but Nikola Jokic remained optimistic that he will get his groove back sooner than later. The All-Star big man insisted that Murray is still making the right plays on the floor, even if his shots are failing to find the bottom of the net, per Mike Singer.
Nikola Jokic on Murray's struggles: "Most of the shots, it was a good shot. They looked good. … He's making the right plays, taking the good shots."
Basically said he's not worried about Murray in the least.

Coming from the All-Star break, Murray bumped into a roadblock when he shot a horrendous 1/14 shooting clip from the field including 1/5 from beyond the arc against the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. He eventually finished the game with three points, three rebounds, and five assists but his teammates managed to pick up the slack en route to a 103-102 victory.
Article Continues BelowThe following night, the former Kentucky standout failed to hit the ground running as he continued to struggle against the Dallas Mavericks. He drained 4-of-13 from the field including 1-of-5 from the three-point area which led him to finish the game with only 10 points and five assists.
Unfortunately, the Nuggets greatly missed his level of production as they absorbed a 116-103 defeat. Despite playing with dismal performances as of late, the Denver-based squad is still clinging onto the sixth spot in the Western Conference with a 22-16 record.
Ultimately, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone will need his starting playmaker to be at his best in order for them to further climb up the standings, especially in a tight competition in the West. Hopefully, Nikola Jokic's undying support and belief in Jamal Murray will help bring his confidence back as he tries to end his slump as soon as possible.
