There's no one in the NBA that can guard Denver Nuggets rising star Michael Porter Jr. That's at least according to none other than MPJ himself. The 22-year-old is oozing with confidence after an incredible first-round performance against the Portland Trail Blazers. Now that his Nuggets are set to face the second-seeded Phoenix Suns, Porter's faith in himself is at an all-time high.

“I don’t think that anybody necessarily — If I’m locked in — I don’t feel like anybody can guard me,” Porter said ahead of Game 1 against the Suns (via The Denver Post).

The former 14th overall pick is coming from an impressive six-game performance against the Blazers where he averaged 18.8 points per game to help the Nuggets overcome Damian Lillard and company. Porter shot an average of 53.8% from the field, including a 41.5% shooting clip from deep.

But, we all know that the Suns are a whole different team compared to the Blazers. Aside from impressively taking care of the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round, Phoenix has way more defensive options to throw at Porter like Jae Crowder, Mikal Bridges or even former Nuggets forward Torrey Craig. But, it seems that Porter isn't fazed by the upcoming competition.

“They do have multiple players that they might put on me, but my job is just to be locked in and bring energy and effort, and I’ll find good shots and I’ll produce,” Porter added.

With Jamal Murray being out for the rest of the season, MPJ has stepped up big time to help their MVP frontrunner in Nikola Jokic as the young Nuggets continue to surge.
