Paul Millsap has been out since Nov. 20 and ever-since looking to his impending return to the court after suffering a torn ligament in his left wrist, which required surgery.

Contrary to reports that stated that he is still weeks away from a return to the court, Millsap went through “most” of practice with the team for the second consecutive day and was not sore after a hard practice, according to T.J. McBride of Mile High Sports.

This means Millsap has been keeping up with his conditioning and could see the court sooner than expected after missing the last 32 games for this Nuggets team.

Head coach Mike Malone has put center Nikola Jokic as the lone cornerstone of this team, putting Mason Plumlee as the starting power forward and Trey Lyles as the firepower off the bench, thanks to his ability to shoot the three reliably.

Millsap struggled to fit into this new system through the first 16 games of the season, averaging 15.3 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.3 assists, 1.3 blocks, and 1.1 steals per game — playing under 30 minutes per game for the first time in seven seasons.

Denver will need the dynamic combination of two passing big men if they hope to make the postseason and go past the first round, and Millsap's return could prove key to solving that riddle with only 24 games left in this 2017-18 campaign.

The Nuggets have hit their stride, winning three straight games and six of their last seven before the All-Star break, a shift in momentum that could catapult them over the fifth-place Oklahoma City Thunder, who stand only half a game ahead.
