The Golden State Warriors are just two wins away from winning their second NBA title in the last three years against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The acquisition of Kevin Durant is paying huge dividends for the Warriors cruising through the playoffs with an unblemished record. According to Howard Beck of Bleacher Report, a notable player agent believes that Durant's decision to join Golden State will lead to more star players leaving to form super teams of their own.

And, the agent says, you can bet he will cite Durant and James to reassure a star client if that client is worried about making his own free-agency getaway.
The three titles won by James, and the possibility of Durant claiming his own championship this month, might serve as greater incentives for the next wave of stars looking to make the leap.
“I think KD opened the floodgates,” another agent says.
This was much more than just Durant electing to go a powerhouse team as it was also a personal decision that he shows little regard for how it impacts his individual legacy. It demonstrates that he values winning over whatever the public perception that surrounds him.
The fact that he has found a tremendous amount of success in his first season after the move lead to further convince other superstars in the league to make a similar leap. This could mean the likes of Paul George and Gordon Hayward will go a similar route after what Durant has quickly experienced with the Warriors.
With players such as Durant and LeBron James achieving much success on their powerhouse teams, it only strengthens the potential reasoning for other superstars to join forces. Although the league has taken more measures in the new CBA to prevent it from occurring again, it's a new trend that could lead to a dramatic shift in the NBA.
