In the last few days, there has been much attention paid toward Golden State Warriors rookie forward Jordan Bell‘s reaction after being drafted with the 38th overall pick in this year's draft.

In the video of his reaction, Bell can't be heard dissing Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James repeatedly stating “F*** Bron Bron,” which was a clear reference to the four-time league MVP. According to Anthony Slater of the Mercury News, the 22-year-old backtracked from his comments

“Man, right?” Bell said. “Anything, man. I bet. I seen that on TMZ and stuff. It’s crazy. If you look at my Instagram posts from last summer, I said (LeBron)’s my favorite player. So obviously I’m not going to talk to smack about him.”

Bell has a tremendous level of respect for James and he likely stated that during the heat of the moment as he quickly realized James and the Cavaliers will likely be the Warriors' biggest competition for an NBA title next season and beyond. It wasn't a shot at the 32-year-old by any means, but rather him pumping himself up.

The former Oregon product has an opportunity to quickly become an important piece to the puzzle given what he brings to the table. Despite lacking the ideal size at his position, he has shown an ability to impact the game rebounding, being an interior paint presence defensively, and can help be an asset in pick-and-roll scenarios as well as be a factor in transition.

This could provide even more fuel to the fire of the growing rivalry between the Warriors and Cavaliers.
