It's been a very busy offseason with plenty of changes, perhaps none more notorious than the Golden State Warriors signing of Kevin Durant.

While Durant has relished the chance to play with his new team, he feels no remorse for pushing Harrison Barnes out of town to the Dallas Mavericks.

“I think he just got paid $95 million,” he told Mike Finger of the Houston Chronicle.

While he rounded up on his calculations, Barnes' four-year, $94.4 million contract was only the cherry on top of the cake.

Had Durant stayed in Oklahoma City, the Warriors would have been forced to work out a deal with Barnes — and given his solid numbers last year, they would have had to shell out upward of $60 million to keep him.

As crazy as it sounds, Durant was the cheaper short term option with a two-year, $54.3 million deal that, while it might tighten up the cap, is a huge offensive and defensive upgrade from the North Carolina alum.

“This is something I felt I needed to do,” said Durant.

The situation works well for both as Barnes figures to get more minutes and responsibilities at the offensive end, plus a lucrative $23.58 million per year doesn't sound bad at all.
