It was only a matter of time.

For the first time as a member of the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant recorded a triple-double during the team's 108-99 win over the Dallas Mavericks Friday night. He did it in just 27 minutes. It was his eighth career triple-double.

KD finished with 19 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists as the Warriors' win was more comfortable than the final score suggested.

The feat didn't mean much to KD though.

“It really means nothing, to be honest,” Durant said via ESPN. “Stats don't really mean anything. At the end of the game, you want to play a great basketball game. … I felt like I didn't force it. I wasn't looking for it.”

Dallas kept pace with the Warriors in the first quarter but then Golden State really put it on them in the next two. A late push with the starters out during the fourth made for a more cosmetically pleasing final for Dallas.

The game came easy to Durant last night thanks to the Mavs starting Dirk Nowitzki at center. With no rim protector, KD and the Dubs were able to attack Dirk in the pick-and-roll and everything else on offense opened up as well.

Durant has always said one of the main reasons he joined the Warriors was because of the way they play the game. That starts with the unselfish nature and last night, Durant took part in it as well as he's ever had.
