In Game 6 of the NBA Finals, the Golden State Warriors played a tribute video for Kevin Durant. In response, the Oracle Arena crowd erupted and chanted ‘KD.'

The Warriors will be without Durant in the NBA Finals after the two-time Finals MVP suffered an Achilles injury in Game 5. There were already concerns about KD's overall condition before the contest as he was coming off a month-long absence due to a calf strain, but he was given clearance to play only to suffer another injury.

It was then announced that Durant suffered a ruptured Achilles, effectively ruling him out for the rest of the NBA Finals. He is also expected to miss the majority, if not the whole of next season — raising questions about his future.

Before Game 6, the Dubs also honored Durant by wearing a t-shirt and giving fans a towel with the words ‘For Oakland' written on it. The ‘K' and ‘D' of the slogan was highlighted in honor of the 30-year-old superstar.

Whether they win or lose the series, it's safe to say that the KD chants will go on from the Warriors. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and company, too, will dedicate every game to their fallen comrade.
