Despite his now seven NBA titles, Steve Kerr can't seem to shake out of his humble persona, though during Thursday's championship parade, he admitted he wishes he was more like one of his Golden State Warriors players.
“Sometimes I get tired of doing the humble thing, I wanna be more like Draymond (Green),” said Kerr during his speech at the podium. “I think we all wish we could be Draymond, look at his shirt.”
“I love Draymond. We got a whole team of humble Warriors and then we have Draymond, who's just gonna stir up the pot every day and thank God we do, because we need that pot stirred.”
Green is that counterbalance, the pinch (okay, maybe more than just a pinch) of salt in an otherwise sweet dessert, that just puts all the ingredients together.

After joking about having more championships than his players, Kerr got a good laugh at it all while reflecting on this year's team.
“I've been through this a lot,” said Kerr. “I've been unbelievably lucky to be around some great teams and obviously everyone is talking about the talent, superteams and all this stuff, but I'm telling you — championship teams don't come about just because of talent… it's the commitment that each player makes to the team and to each other. It's a difficult thing.”
