The Golden State Warriors may already have enough motivation to win ahead of Game 2 on Sunday, but they are still going to receive a huge boost with the news that head coach Steve Kerr will be available to coach the team on the night.

Per sideline reporter David Aldridge, the fourth year head coach is feeling well enough to make his return to the bench since Game 2 of their first round series against the Portland Trail Blazers. In an interview with Aldridge ahead of the second game, Kerr revealed his current condition, and his plans moving forward.

It can be recalled that Kerr underwent a procedure for his spinal cord earlier this year which has kept him sidelined. Mike Brown has since taken over his duties of calling the plays for the Dubs and has done a very good job at it as the team has continued to win and have kept their unblemished record intact throughout the postseason so far. He has missed a significant amount of time this year due to his back's condition but the Dubs still managed to have a 24-1 win-loss slate without him.

With Kerr making it clear that his intention is to coach for the rest of the finals series, the Warriors will be back to full strength, and may turn out to be what they need to get them closer to their second championship in three years. The 51-year-old led them to a title in 2015 and is looking to replicate that feat this season against the Cleveland Cavaliers, who they are facing in the finals for the third straight campaign.
