It was an absolutely horrendous start to the season for the Golden State Warriors, as they suffered an embarrassing blowout defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday night, 141-122. For his part, Dubs forward Draymond Green had one of the worst performances of his entire NBA tenure, as the three-time All-Star logged a regular-season career-worst plus-minus of minus-35:
Draymond Green had a plus-minus of -35 last night, the worst such figure he's ever posted in a regular-season game. The worst plus-minus of his career came in the 2016 playoffs versus the Thunder, when he was -43 in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals.

That's definitely a statistic that Draymond Green would like to forget about at the soonest possible time. What makes this even worse is the fact that this happened in the first game of the new season. Talk about starting the new campaign on an extremely low note.

To be fair to Green, Warriors former back-to-back MVP winner Stephen Curry also had a forgettable outing himself. While the 31-year-old point guard did still manage 23 points (on 8-of-20 from the floor), two treys, four rebounds, four assists, and a steal, Curry also turned the ball over a whopping eight times and missed nine triples. Moreover, the six-time All-Star was minus-19.
As for the Clippers, this convincing victory puts them at 2-0, following an opening-night win against their crosstown rival, the Los Angeles Lakers. Even more impressive is the fact that LA won both contests without the services of the injured Paul George. These were two statement victories by the Clippers, who are definitely looking like legitimate contenders for this year's title.
