The Golden State Warriors have struggled upon their return from the All-Star festivities, now 4-5 after hitting a new low with what they called the worst loss of the season against the Phoenix Suns over the weekend. Yet owner Joe Lacob isn't fretting about what this recent slump, still confident in the Warriors' postseason chances:

“We have the best team in the world. Why wouldn’t I be confident?,” said Lacob in true fashion, according to Anthony Slater of The Athletic. “I think we have a great team, great talent. In the NBA, talent usually wins.

“I’m not saying that it will, necessarily. We have to do it on the court. But talent does usually win. Guys usually figure it out. We have an intelligent group. As long as we stay healthy. That’s the caveat. But I’m confident and believe in our team.”

The Warriors still have plenty of debris to clean up, whether it is their motivation to play, their constant lapses on defense during the first half, their declining offensive efficiency and the incorporation of DeMarcus Cousins, which so far has proved troublesome.

But to Lacob's point, the Warriors have the most talent in the league, and while they have had similar concerns entering the postseason in the past two years, they found ways to figure it out and left those worries as a forgotten leaf of the past.

Though only time will tell if his confidence is indeed rewarded with results.
