Despite being down big during parts of the second half, the Golden State Warriors were still able to battle back and beat the Washington Wizards, 120-117, on Friday night. However, head coach Steve Kerr was not impressed with the team’s focus for most of the game and instead credited the team’s talent for why they were still able to get the win.

This lack of focus has been an ongoing issue for the defending champions during the early part of the season. But like in their game against the Toronto Raptors, they had enough to turn it on late and come back to win the game.

It’s possible that this lack of focus is a problem what plagues the Warriors for most of the regular season. After losing just one game en route to the title last season and winning a record 73 regular-season games during the previous season, it’s going to be hard for the team to get up for games that are basically meaningless to them in the big picture.
Still, it’ll be up to Kerr as the head coach to try and keep his team in line and to get them ready when it really matters.
