Dwyane Wade won't be part of LeBron James' deliberation process at the end of this NBA season. The King's second “decision” has been one of the hottest topics during this 2017-18 season, and one that the recently-acquired Wade won't want anything to do with.
“No. No, I don't have anything to do with it, none of that,” Wade said of his partner during Heat runs to the NBA Finals from 2011-14, a stretch that produced championships in 2012 and '13, according to Ira Winderman of the South Florida Sun Sentinel. “One thing I know is he makes his own decisions. So when we get to that point, hopefully he takes a good look at the place he's at and gives that real consideration, and then goes from there.”
The two have now been part of two different teams together, but as Wade returned to his home of 13 years in South Beach, he assured the decision will be made solely by James.
“It's his decision and I don't want nothing to do with it at all,” Wade added.

Wade was bought out of his contract by the Chicago Bulls this past summer and then signed by the Cleveland Cavaliers, who traded him for a protected second-round pick during this trade deadline, one that was soon used to cover part of the bundle in return to the Sacramento Kings for George Hill.
Now in his third jersey in a span of eight months, Wade didn't seem sour at moving places so often, now back where he wanted to be to finish off his playing career.
“As I texted the general manager, Koby, after everything went down, I thanked him for putting me in a good position and also told him, ‘You did one hell of a job to bring the guys that he brought into the organization,'” Wade said. “And it's not anything negative against the guys that were there, but it just wasn't working, it wasn't fitting the way that a championship organization wants to see it fit. And they brought in some good pieces. And so, they're happy, I'm happy.”
