In their 109-107 victory over the San Antonio Spurs, the Houston Rockets mounted a 25-point comeback — the biggest comeback in franchise history.
In the first half, the Spurs outscored the Rockets, 72-53. James Harden, the Rockets' focal point on offense, was having a bad shooting night thanks to the stifling defense by the Spurs. However, come the second half the Rockets turned the switch, kept the game close, and came off with the W.

Russell Westbrook led the team with 31 points and 10 rebounds. Harden, by his standards, had an off night but managed to fill up the stat sheets with 28 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists. Ben McLemore stepped up with 17 points including four 3-pointers. Clint Capela put on his usual monster stats with 15 points, 15 rebounds, and three blocks.
The Rockets have successfully bounced back from their loss to the Detroit Pistons on Saturday. It was a great, yet gritty win. Though Harden was contained well below his average of 39.3 points per game, other players stepped up to fill the scoring void.
This is another proof that the Rockets are a deep team. While the focal point of their offense is Harden, they are not entirely dependent on him. On any given night, other players such as Austin Rivers or Ben McLemore have the capacity to step up.
