The Indiana Pacers have announced that star shooting guard Victor Oladipo has suffered a serious injury to his right knee and will undergo an MRI on Thursday.

Oladipo sustained the injury on Wednesday against the Toronto Raptors and was carried off the floor on a stretcher. The All-Star guard was seen wiping tears off his face, but he did raise his arms and acknowledge the crowd as he left the court.

This is just a brutal sight to see. Victor Oladipo is one of the best guards in the NBA and a fantastic person off the court. Here's to hoping the injury isn't as bad as it looked.

The Pacers acquired Oladipo in the summer of 2017 from the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Paul George trade. The explosive guard won the 2018 Most Improved Player of the Year award and led the Pacers to the playoffs.

Victor Oladipo, 26, entered Wednesday averaging 19.2 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game for the Pacers while shooting 42.3 percent from the floor, 34.4 percent from beyond the arc and 73.0 percent from the free-throw line. He leads Indiana in scoring and is second in assists.

Oladipo missed 11 games earlier in the season due to a knee injury, although that ailment wasn't as serious as this one appears to be.
