The season is far from over for the Indiana Pacers but at this point, the future of head coach Nate Bjorkgren has already been put into question.
According to ESPN's NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers are seriously considering removing Bjorkgren from his post at the end of this season:
Amid a year of difficulties with players and staff, Indiana Pacers coach Nate Bjorkgren’s future with the franchise is uncertain as the regular season nears an end, sources tell ESPN. The Pacers are 30-34 and in ninth place in the Eastern Conference.

As Woj notes above, the Pacers are currently on an all-out race for the final few playoff spots in the Eastern Conference. There is also going to be a play-in tournament to decide which teams actually make the postseason cut, so at this point, Indiana's playoff hopes are certainly alive and kicking. It's definitely far from over for them right now.
Apparently, Bjorkgren is not exactly the most well-loved figure in the locker room. Woj did not name any names in his report, but he did say that Bjorkgren's relationship with his players need work:

The timing of Bjorkgren's rumored departure does not come at an ideal time for the Pacers. Now is the time for them to show their mettle as a group with the regular season coming to an end. The fact that the team is now being surrounded by uncertainty — at least from a coaching standpoint — could have an adverse effect on team morale. Then again, this could actually also serve as a turning point for the club and the players as they rally behind their embattled coach.
It will be interesting to see which direction the Pacers will take in their remaining games of the season.
Bjorkgren joined the Pacers prior to the start of the season and is currently in his first year as a head coach.
