On Wednesday night against the Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers star Victor Oladipo suffered a ruptured quad tendon in his right knee, knocking him out for the remainder of the 2018-19 campaign.

Oladipo took to Instagram on Saturday to address NBA fans in an emotional message about his injury:

Oladipo also experienced problems with his right knee earlier in the season when he left the Pacers' win over the Atlanta Hawks after just five minutes back on Nov. 17.

The 26-year-old then proceeded to miss 11 straight games before finally returning on Dec. 12, scoring 12 points in 29 minutes during a victory over the Milwaukee Bucks.

However, Oladipo was clearly not the same after returning, as he shot just 40.1 percent from the floor in December and was making just 40.8 percent of his field-goal attempts this month before going down with the injury.

On the season overall, Oladipo ended up averaging 18.8 points, 5.6 rebounds, 5.2 assists and 1.7 steals over 31.9 minutes per game while shooting 42.3 percent from the floor, 34.3 percent from three-point range and 73 percent from the free-throw line.

The 2-guard originally arrived in Indiana during the summer of 2017 after coming over in a trade that sent Paul George to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Oladipo then had a breakout season during his first year with the Pacers, registering 23.1 points per game en route to making his first All-Star team.

The Pacers currently own a record of 32-15 and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference, but without Oladipo, the road for Indiana is going to be very difficult from this point forward.
