Indiana Pacers All-Star Victor Oladipo and New Era came together to design a series of new hats, according to Greg Rappaport of Pacers.com. The caps, which are known as the “VO Hat Collection,” are available at the Pacers Team Shop and website.

Oladipo spent quite a bit of time with New Era working out the design aspects of the new hats. The former No. 2 overall pick says he wanted the headgear to stand out in a unique way.

“The thing about me is that I like things that are simple but yet stand out, simple but yet extravagant is what I like to call it,” Oladipo explained of his personal style. “That's the type of hats I was looking for as a little kid.”

All in all, four new hats were created. Each one is a snapshot of Oladipo's career and creative flare. His Indiana Univeristy-themed cap, for instance, is an homage to his collegiate days with the Hoosiers.

“You know I gotta give love to my Hoosiers fans,” Oladipo said in a statement from the Pacers.

Oladipo says he kept an open mind when assisting in the design process. The crafty guard wants fans to be able to wear the caps at a variety of events.

“What can you wear with the hat, how you can wear the hat, if you want to wear it to certain events,” Oladipo said of his considerations while designing the collection. “But at the same time, you can wear it to a sporting event as well.

“You gotta envision yourself wearing it,” Oladipo continued. “Envision someone else wearing it. It's all about the vision. Hopefully they like my designs.”

Oladipo and the Pacers hope to see plenty of their fans in these hats at Bankers Life Fieldhouse in 2018-19.
