Good news for the Indiana Pacers as Victor Oladipo is reportedly not expected to miss much time with a knee injury. The 2018 Most Improved Player of the Year sustained the injury in a game against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday, and while Oladipo is set to miss Monday's game against the Utah Jazz, he shouldn't be out long.

Knee injuries are often very threatening for players. Fortunately for Oladipo, his was just a minor one and he should be able to shake it off soon.

However, the Pacers will certainly miss the services of their All-Star against Utah. One of the best two-way players in the NBA, Oladipo is posting impressive all-around averages of 21.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

With a more polished overall game, the Indiana Hoosiers product has a 30.7 usage rate, both a team high and career high. It's a clear indication that Oladipo has taken over his team, and that the Pacers are very much willing to let him lead the squad.

Oladipo was the forgotten star of last year's blockbuster Paul George trade. It was seen more of a clearance deal for the Pacers rather than a move to bring in a potential franchise player. But Oladipo has since shut down all criticisms as Indiana's head coach Nate McMillan praises his superstar's relentless attitude.

Via Jordan Guskey of Indianapolis Star:

“He came in last year really hungry to come out and prove that he was a good player in this league,” McMillan said. “There was a lot of talk about the Pacers didn't get enough in the trade, and I think that kind of rubbed him the wrong way. He came out very aggressive, very confident.”

Sans Victor Oladipo, the Pacers will look to get their 11th win this season as they face Utah.
