Through the first several months of his rookie campaign, Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has proven to be quite the find for the organization. He has quickly become one of the league's promising young players with a massive amount of potential ahead of him to become a star in the league.
It appears that Mitchell is just as great off it building a budding relationship with the Jazz fan base off of it. This was made evident by a fan taking to social media to post his interactions with the Jazz guard helping him get tickets to an upcoming game to help him get a date.

This was a nice gesture by Mitchell that he didn't necessarily have to do, but went out of his way to provide a special moment for a young fan that he will remember forever. It just goes to show the type of person that he is both on and off the court to help out in a unique way.
Beyond that, Mitchell has shown much reason for much promise and all the praise thrown his way from the likes of LeBron James, James Harden, Chris Paul, Paul George, Kevin Love, Stephen Curry, and Damian Lillard.
He has certainly backed it up with his play on the court leading all rookies with 19.7 points per game. Additionally, he is heading all first-year players with 136 made 3-pointers and has tallied 20 or more points 30 times this season. In the last couple of months, he has continued to elevate his game with Western Conference Rookie of the Month honors for both December and January. Mitchell has continued that this month with 22.0 points per game, which leads all rookies.
All of this could lead to him making a strong bid to take home the Rookie of the Year award as the primary competitor against Philadelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons. Regardless or not if he wins the honor, Mitchell clearly has a bright future ahead of him
