LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers have been at the center of the NBA world after a seismic trade sent Anthony Davis to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic.

The move, which took place on February 1, 2025, shocked many, including James himself, who reportedly found out about the trade after the New York Knicks game while having dinner with his family. Amid the chaos, LeBron turned to the one constant in his life, his wife, Savannah James, sharing a heartfelt NSFW message on Instagram.

Following the Lakers’ dominant 128-112 win over the Knicks at Madison Square Garden, LeBron James took to social media to post a tribute to Savannah James. Alongside pictures of the two sharing a courtside moment, he wrote:

“The thing about it is, is that we just grew even stronger and tighter together!! This st can’t be fked with! Love you my Queen! Ruler of the Kingdom”

James’ post showcased his strong support for Savannah, whom he has been with for over two decades. The couple, who celebrated their 11-year wedding anniversary on September 14, 2024, have been a pillar of stability for each other through LeBron’s stellar career.

While LeBron publicly expressed his love for Savannah, the NBA world still reeled from one of the biggest trades in league history. The Lakers' front office, led by GM Rob Pelinka, sent Anthony Davis, LeBron’s teammate since 2020 and co-star in their 2020 championship run, to the Mavericks in exchange for Luka Doncic.

James, after learning about the move, shared an emotional farewell to Davis on Instagram:

“Love you my dog!! Go crazy over there! Woe 4L! See you soon.”

However, this response clearly opposed speculation that LeBron had grown frustrated with Davis, a claim he quickly shot down on social media.

Nevertheless, LeBron put on a stunning performance against the Knicks, finishing with 33 points, 12 assists, 11 rebounds, and 14/26 FG (53.8%).

With the win, the Lakers improved to 28-19, positioning themselves at No. 5 in the Western Conference. While Doncic remains sidelined with a calf injury, the Lakers are expected to be championship contenders once he returns.

At 40 years old, LeBron remains a dominant force in the NBA, averaging 24.0 PPG, 7.6 RPG, and 9.1 APG this season. His leadership will be important as the Lakers transition to a new era with Doncic.
