Lakers star Anthony Davis pays his ultimate respect to Shai Gilgeous-Alexander after another loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Lakers ended up allowing another comeback at the hands of the Thunder, despite leading by as much as 19 points early on.

Fans may think that the team will learn its lesson from blowing a 26-point lead last October in Oklahoma City.

Apart from blowing a lead yet another huge lead against a young Thunder team, the Purple-and-Gold managed to allow Gilgeous-Alexander to go off in both these games, scoring 27 and 28 points respectively.

SGA iced the game with little time left, pulling up from the logo at Staples Center. Apart from having a remarkable performance for the whole game, SGA caught the attention of Anthony Davis— who recognizes how deadly the young point guard can be.

Laker fans shouldn't worry because LeBron James was not available to play in both these losses to the Thunder. However, the team should be concerned about blowing insurmountable leads late in the game—especially to a squad with less talent and experience.

The Lakers may be the oldest team in the league, but they can utilize experience as a weapon. With numerous players from the NBA's top-75 team such as Russell Westbrook, Anthony Davis, LeBron James, and Carmelo Anthony, losing to a young team twice, while blowing huge leads could not serve as a good sign for a championship contender.

Although, since this is a newly formed team, the roster may be figuring things out. Above all, the Lakers have one of the smartest players of all time, LeBron James. This loss serves as a wake-up call for a highly capable team, but they might want to pick up the pace as many teams across the league are evolving.
