Los Angeles Lakers star big man Anthony Davis made his much-anticipated return to the court recently after sustaining a serious, calf injury. Davis was on the sideline for so long that when he played again there was something new with the team – a 6'10, 279-pound addition in the form of Andre Drummond.

Davis spoke about the changes that come along playing with Drummond, per Rachel Nichols.

“It's a huge adjustment, we had just one practice together before that game in Dallas but we're constantly asking each other question. We're just going to get better and better together as the season goes on.”

Although they had experience playing with one another in the same Olympic team, that was many years ago and they have still only had one practice together. The Lakers duo should be able to figure out something and gel just before the playoffs commence.

Drummond's game is based mostly inside the paint, where he crashes the boards, gets his points, and racks up defensive numbers. Davis' game is much more versatile, while his post-ups are efficient, he can easily hit shots from the mid-range and from deep. Defensively, he is an eraser and elite rim protector, but he can also extent to the perimeter and switch on guards.

Drummond may not be the best fit in today's type of basketball, but he has been solid so far for the Lakers. He has been averaging 11.9 points, 10.1 rebounds, two dimes, and 1.5 steals per outing in limited minutes with the team.

When LeBron James comes back from his injury, this will be another major adjustment for Drummond. A frontcourt of Drummond, Davis, and James would be so physically dominant. Any team that faces that in one night will take quite some punishment, never mind a seven-game series.
