The Los Angeles Lakers made so many huge moves during the course of the offseason that at this point, it's actually quite a challenge to keep up with all of them. For his part, however, there is one particular signing that Anthony Davis is still absorbing.
One of the Lakers' offseason acquisitions that has been overshadowed by their superstar signings is none other than Malik Monk. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard penned a deal with L.A. as a free agent in the summer. Right now, Davis is still shocked that the Lakers were able to pull off such a coup:

Monk was absolutely amazing in his preseason debut for the Lakers on Sunday against the Nets. The 23-year-old came off the bench to score a team-high 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting. Monk went 3-of-6 from distance in 21 minutes of action. He proved to be L.A.'s best performer in the loss.
Monk spent the last four seasons with the Charlotte Hornets. After his contract ended, he decided to sign with the Lakers on a one-year deal worth just $1.8 million. At this point, many have to agree with Davis that Malik Monk is looking like an absolute steal right now.
