Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis is no stranger to the NBA's injury report. Davis, as Los Angeles fans know all too well, pops up as questionable only to suit up later in the game for the Lakers. After missing the last two games due to a knee injury, the Los Angeles star received a positive update ahead of Wednesday's scheduled game against the Dallas Mavs.

As reported by ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Anthony Davis has been upgraded from questionable to probable. Davis should be considered highly likely to play against the Mavs, as it's generally a great sign when a player receives such an upgrade.

Considering that Davis is playing 35.8 minutes per game, his highest average of floor time since joining Los Angeles, it was probably a good thing for both he and the Lakers that he was able to get a couple nights off, even if it was due to a minor injury.

The Lakers' star is now lined up to face a Mavs' team that has been among the NBA's best on the defensive end. Still, Davis has been a tough for any defense to handle this year, as he's averaging over 24 points and 10 rebounds per game while stressing teams on the other end of the floor with over two blocks and a steal per game. He gives the Lakers the best chance to win anytime he's on the floor.

After the recent Anthony Davis injury update, it sounds like the star center will be out there Wednesday against the Mavs.
