Austin Reaves was the hero for the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. The undrafted rookie sank a game-winning 3-pointer with 0.9 seconds to go in overtime to cap off a stellar 15-point showing.
Reaves nailed five of his six three-point attempts in 32 minutes and added seven rebounds — career-highs across the board.

Afterward, LeBron James said he was “extremely proud and excited for AR-15,” citing his nickname for the rookie.
Anthony Davis wasn't surprised by Reaves' clutch cojones, citing his ability to soak up information and embrace the big moment.
Anthony Davis on Austin Reaves: "Big-time shot. It’s just a testament to all the hard work he’s putting in…He’s a sponge, he soaks it all up. The information we give him. He’s not afraid of the moment…Even when we get on him."

Reaves wasn't too surprised either, considering his improbable basketball journey.
“It’s basically been the story of my life,” Reaves said about the dagger. “I’ve always been underrated. Didn’t go to a big high school so didn’t get recruited much. But, at the end of the day, you gotta produce on the basketball court. For me to hit that shot, for my teammates to have the trust in me to hit that shot, it’s very, very special.”

However, one person who was decidedly not impressed by Reaves' heroics was a certain bitter Mavs Fan, who chose a strange moment to slide into the DMs of Austin's older brother Spencer and talk smack (Spencer plays for Bayer Giants Leverkusen in Germany's Pro A).
“your brother sucks lucky ass shot,” Mavs Fan messaged at Spencer.
Considering his brother just drilled one of the biggest shots of the Lakers season and has become a fixture in the Lakers rotation and crunch-time lineup — and instant folk hero among Lakers fans — Spencer didn't need to come back with more than a meme to make his point.
