Avengers actor Don Cheadle will be in Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James' Space Jam 2, which is currently in production, according to Anthony D'Alessandro of Deadline.
Space Jam 2 will feature Damian Lillard, Anthony Davis, Klay Thompson and WNBA stars Diana Taurasi and Nneka Ogwumike. Don Cheadle is known for his role as War Machine in the Avengers, Captain America and Iron Man movies.
Coming off the second-biggest-grossing film of all time, Avengers: Endgame ($2.77 billion), Don Cheadle is joining LeBron James in Warner Bros.’ Space Jam 2, which is currently in production.
Terence Nance is directing the follow-up to the 1996 movie which grossed over $230M at the global box office. The pic is seen as a reboot of the studio’s classic Looney Tunes stable. Cheadle’s role is being kept under wraps.
The Lakers and LeBron James have had a big summer. Los Angeles was finally able to acquire Anthony Davis from the New Orleans Pelicans. Don Cheadle was on an episode of “The Shop,” LeBron's show on HBO.
Space Jam 2 is getting a lot of buzz. After all, anything James does is always going to be in the spotlight. The Lakers, who missed the playoffs in the first season of the LeBron era, signed DeMarcus Cousins, Danny Green, Jared Dudley and Quinn Cook after missing out on Kawhi Leonard.
